| Jhun Ciolo Diamante took
up and earned a degree in Architecture but his love
for the great outdoors in San Pablo, Laguna made him
a plein air painter instead. At an early age, his love
for this painting genre found recognition when he received
a number of awards in on-the-spot drawing contests.
That inspired and motivated him to develop his artistic
interest.
He became a graphic artist and that brought him and
his young family to Bahrain in the Middle East where
he continued his passion for his art. He and his fellow
Filipino artists painted together and joined multicultural
group art exhibitions to keep their art alive. In Bahrain,
he was introduced to computers. He got hooked by its
magic and since then his love for outdoor painting found
its rival for his attention.
In 1997, Jhun brought his family to Canada. Ever the
devoted family man, he continued to work as a graphic
artist to provide for his brood. At work, he met a fellow
artist and member of the Philippine Artists Group. This
lead to his joining the group and became the first of
several young talents that brought more vigour to the
PAG as he proved to be one of its most hard working
members. In a short period of time, Jhun became an invaluable
member and was elected as its secretary for two years.
However his unparalled mastery of the modern computer
and creative web designing made him a class by himself.
Now, Jhun is the group's computer guru and permanent
webmaster of the internationally acclaimed website:
www.philippineartists.com, a virtual gallery for all
Filipino artists around the world. With his growing
stature as a webdesigner, he created a number of high
profile customized websites integrating the most current
softwares. This multi-talented artist continues to awe
people for his wizardry in multimedia design using the
computer as a digital canvas when not indulging in his
outdoor painting. |
